how to remove dropbox

I want to delete the dropbox symbol from the top menu bar on MacBook Air (last updated end 2022), but don't know how. I removed it from Finder but I can't get it off the menu bar?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.0

This didn't work. Dropbox seems to have commandeered the menu bar and there is no way to remove the icon. Is there a fix to this and remove the unwanted icon?

Just follow these steps:

Hold down the command (⌘) key
Drag the Dropbox icon off the taskbar
Release the mouse button once you see the circle slash (🚫) symbol

The icon should now be removed from your taskbar.

UPDATE: Removing Dropbox from the Sidebar in Finder and then restarting my Mac solved the issue and the Dropbox icon is not longer present in the menu bar.
