Greetings iPodShuffleMonterrey,

We’ll need a bit more detail to provide some targeted troubleshooting. Any additional details you can share are helpful.

• What happens when you try to sync?

• Are you unable to choose the content you want to sync?

• Are you encountering an error message?

You can connect your device using a USB or USB-C cable or using a Wi-Fi connection. See Sync content between your Mac and iPhone or iPad over Wi-Fi.
2. In the Finder on your Mac, select the device in the Finder sidebar.
If you connect your device to your Mac using a USB cable and don’t see the device in the Finder sidebar, see If your device doesn’t appear in the sidebar
3. Click Podcasts in the button bar.

With the checkbox selected, syncing is set to transfer all your podcasts to your device.

Hello iPodShuffleMonterrey,

Let's take a step back for just a moment. Are you seeing the iPod shuffle listed in Finder when connected to your Mac? Since the last time you were able to sync your devices, has anything changed regarding software? Do you have an alternate cable you can use to connect your iPod to Mac? If so, would you give that a try and see if it helps?

If you haven't done so yet, try restarting both devices to see if that helps.

How to force restart your iPod shuffle - If you're unable to restart it with the power switch, you can use the directions provided in this article.

Best regards.
