After updating from Big Sur to Ventura 13.1, my mac hangs most of the time after I put it to sleep and try to wake it up

After updating from Big Sur to Ventura 13.1, my mac hangs most of the time after I put it to sleep and try to wake it up.


I have never experienced this issue on Big sur.

Don't know what's wrong with the new version update.


I tried reinstalling Ventura too.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.1

Intel 16" MBP—reset the SMC Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support see the details.


M1 16" MBP—try a SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

all known to cause issues on the macOS
