My Apple TV

My apple tv will not connect to my new network because the password for the previous one was not removed. The previous network no longer exists, so it can't be accessed to be removed. Is there a way to fix this if the internet can not be accessed?

Apple TV network - won't allow me to set password I have changed my network and am trying to set my Apple TV (2016?) to new network. After I select the new name, it immediately tell me I entered the incorrect password. BUT it did not give me a screen to enter ANY password. I tried restart. No difference. Hoping to avoid RESET. New network can’t connect I have a new network provider and attempting to set my Apple TV to use it. I can select the network but instantly get a message the password you entered is not correct (it hasn’t asked me to enter the password yet)

On the Apple TV menu, go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi. Select your current Wi-Fi network and click Forget Network. Press Menu or the Back button on your Apple TV Remote. Then select Network again and select your Wi-Fi network to connect.
