I went through over 300 photos from iMessage and deleted them. Painstaking and long overdue. Could only delete a few at a time and it took hours.
Now they’re all back!! Ughhhhh

We'll be glad to help you out. Generally, there shouldn't be a reason this content would re-appear after being deleted. For that in particular, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple directly so they can determine what might have caused that: Get Support.
