Mac Doesn't Remember Display Arrangement

I have two Samsung Smart Monitors of the same year/size/model. They are on a dual monitor mount, each with its own connection to my 14"MBP A1 (HDMI-HDMI & USBC-HDMI Direct Cable*No Hub).

EVERY SINGLE TIME my computer goes to sleep, shuts down, or is disconnected from the displays; it forgets which monitor goes where and I have to go into Apple/Settings/Display/Arrangement and change it back.

  1. There are two Samsung smart monitors with UNIQUE names related to their identity settings.
  2. I've tried different connection types (USBC hubs etc) for both monitors. I'm currently using DIRECT cabling meaning MBP HDMI to HDMI & MBP USBC - HDMI. I've swapped these cables with no change in results.
  3. I've tried other monitors to single out that it's just these samsungs (it's not).

I have to believe there is a setting that I'm missing in the display/arrangement or some software that is conflicting. Surely, Apple would have a simple workflow or setting to make sure it remembers monitor position for dual (same model) monitors?

Thoughts?
