Thanks. The problem is this: For most of my emails on my iphone (and for all my emails on my macbook and imac, which of course are all the same), left swiping firmly deletes the email, and swiping gently gives the delete option. But for some, only with the phone, the left swipe options instead are More, Unread, and Archive. I don't want that, and didn't have it before. I just want delete. I realize that, as you pointed out, by tapping More, I can get to another screen which allows deleting. I don't want that. I want just the delete option. How did this happen, and how do I get back to the situation on my phone where left swipe always yields delete? I appreciate your help. Pete.

I also use Apple Mail in my phone and I'm able to delete emails in one firm swipe to the left.

And, if I gently swipe to the left, my quick options are "more", "flag", and "Delete".

I think that the app learns how you treat certain emails from certain sender's and adjusts accordingly. For instance, inside an email, once you move a few similar emails to a particular folder, automatically there is an option "Move to ______" that appears instead of a list of every single folder.

Hopefully I've been able to help you out.

Have a Happy New Year!
