keep recording video when not on app

after i press record i expect it to keep recording until i press stop, including when i swipe the apl up to go to home or select left to check other apps. however it stops recording violating my expectations and making me miss critical footage. i can't find fixes for this issue through google even as there are tons of articles about useless things like recording with music or with screen turned off. help.

also it keeps making noises even when i have sound and haptics off unless i put it on silent which also turns off calls help
