No open windows message
why does my mac pro laptop tell me there are no open windows? I try to open an app from the task bar and it still says no open windows?

If this issue occurs with several apps, the following steps may be able to resolve this issue:
- Restart your Mac. This may seem like a simple step to take, but it refreshes your device and the software.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Restart

Starting up your Mac in safe mode can help you identify whether issues you’re experiencing are caused by software that loads as your Mac starts up. Your screen will load slower and it may flash. If you experience this behavior with a specific app, this can occur for the following reasons, you may not have the privileges to open the app, the app may be damaged, or it may not be installed:
