final cut pro keeps crashing on startup everytime

I have just downloaded the final cut pro free trial, however, I have not been able to use it because the app simply won't start. every time I try to open it, it just says "final cut pro quit unexpectedly" can someone help me out with this issue, please?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Here's a few things in the report that I'm sorry to say look bad:


Monterey is not compatible with your Mac.

Your system seems to have altered specs. Maybe you tried a fudge to make Monterey run.


Also you have Chrome installed which has a Video Toolbox that goofs up FCPro.

Another thing is Clean My Mac that may well have contributed to crippling the OS.

Plus updating Operating Systems over time and over the top of older OSs will allow all sorts of gremlins to creep in and start causing issues.


Your Mac has barely the specs to run the latest FCPro efficiently even if it could.

Double click the application and immediately press and hold Command and Option. A dialog window appears; click Delete Preferences.

If the problem persists we will need to know more about your mac your os and possible third party software modifications. Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here.

Use the “additional text” button and paste the report into the text box.
