Siri Problems

I tried to activate listen for “hey Siri” but kept saying sorry Siri didn’t get that. When I press and hold the home button and Siri comes up, the animation doesn’t move to show it’s listening it just goes away after some time. I also tried to use the voice stuff on the keyboard but it didn’t pick my voice too. But I make calls well and even record voice notes and they are okay. What do I do please??
