HELP: Buying a Mac abroad. Pros and cons?

Sadly, Bangladesh still don't have any apple store. I need to buy a Macbook from BKK as I'll be traveling there from Jan 10 to 20th. Would request advices/throughts on pros and cons of buying a mac from BKK.

• Can I get the International Edition / Version? (Don’t wanna buy the Thai version)
• What are the differences of buying a Mac from US / Thailand?
• As a tourist, can I claim tax/get refund while returning home?
• Will I be able to claim warranty anywhere apple has presence in case anything happens?
• How does the price vary? Any ideas?
• Any other suggestions you may have. Thanks
