Streaming Services Play Audio With No Video

I have recently updated my Mac book with the latest installment on December of 2022. Once the download was completed and installed, I tried to watch my streaming services (Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, Etc).

The Websites load normally. The previews play normally. It is worth mentioning that I have two monitors. When I click on a show, the window automatically goes to full screen across both displays, and starts playing. All the normal controls for the streaming service are present and functional. I can pause, play, skip the video, but there is no image; only sound.

Please help me figure this out.

The research I found in this subject told me that is due to piracy protections. If the website thinks its being recorder, it will only play sound without the video. Try using the mac book screen without a display.

I have two Samsung C27F390 curved monitors connected via HDMI to a j5Create dock which is connected to MacBook Pro via C usb. The movies will not play on these or the built-in display. Same setup as before the update, which worked fine.

It may be that the displays or display connections are not HDCP compliant, and that would block HD commercial video that requires HDCP compliancy.

What monitor models do you have? How are they connected? Any adapters in use?

What browser are you using? Can you try streaming on a different and updated browser? Also, try streaming with any add-ons disabled within the browser to see if that might help as well.
