Events Disappearing from Google Calendar

Me and my wife both have iPhones. We are both part of the same iCloud family group. The automatically generated "Family" calendar shows up in both of our phones. When she creates an event and sends the invite to my Gmail account, the event is automatically moved to the Family calendar on both of our phones. The problem with this is that the event does NOT show up in my google calendar. It's on my phone under the Family (iCloud) calendar but not in my google calendar. So when i'm looking at my google calendar online (web, not on my phone) the event is not there.

Is there a way to stop iOS from automatically moving the invite to our Family calendar?

Hello SGTorrence,

We understand that your calendar invites are not syncing with your Google Calendar. The following steps may be able to assist you with this issue:

"1. On your iPhone or iPad, open your device settings.

2. Scroll and tap Calendar..

3. Tap Accounts > Add account > Google.

4. Enter your email address > Next.

5. Enter your password. If you don't have the latest operating system and you use 2-Step Verification, enter an app password instead of your regular password.

6. Tap Next.

7. Emails, contacts, and calendar events will now sync directly with your Google Account. To sync only your calendar, turn off the other services.

8. Open the Calendar app on your iPhone to find your Google Calendar events.

To sync with an existing account, tap the account and turn on Calendars."

Thanks but this did not work. The issue is that because my wife is part of my family group, when she sends me an invite, my phone or her phone (not sure which) automatically moves the event to the "Family" calendar that was automatically created when I created a Family group. Because the Family calendar resides in iCloud and not Google, the event does not show on my Google calendar after it's moved to the Family calendar.

I use Google as my primary calendar and do not have an iCloud-based calendar so this is a real big issue.
