IPhone apps notifications are sound off and keep vibrate on Apple Watch.

Hello. I have an iPhone and Apple Watch. On the iPhone, for many applications, I have notifications set without sound - they are shown to me on notification center, the lock screen and banners, but without sound and vibration.

Apple Watch inherits the settings from the iPhone and also sends a silent notification when the iPhone is locked.

I need the behavior of notifications on the iPhone to remain the same, and notifications to Apple Watch come with vibration (otherwise, how will I see that I received a notification).

That is:

- If the iPhone is not locked - notifications are sent without sound and vibration.

- IPhone is locked - notifications are sent to Apple Watch with vibration.

P.S. I also have mi band 7, on which everything works fine. How is it that integration with a foreign device behaves as I need it, but a Apple Watch from Apple does not?

G'day Brilux,

This particular point from the post above may account for this: Notifications on your Apple Watch

Some apps offer further customization, while others only let you turn off Apple Watch notifications completely. Scroll down to the Mirror iPhone Alerts From section and turn off the setting next to the app.

Based on this, the specific options will vary by app. In a case like this, you may want to get in touch with the developers of the apps in question if you'd like to provide feedback on the options they provide: How to contact an app developer

Take care.

Hello Brilux,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you. It sounds as though you would want to change your notification settings for apps on your Apple Watch to not mirror your iPhone. You can read full details about your options here: Notifications on your Apple Watch.

Customize your Apple Watch notification settings

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.

2. Tap Notifications.

3. Tap an app to see its options. To use the same notification settings on apps that appear on both your Apple Watch and iPhone, tap Mirror my iPhone. Some apps allow you to customize your notifications. Tap Custom, then choose an option:

- Allow Notifications: Notifications appear in Notification Center and your Apple Watch alerts you.

- Send to Notification Center: Notifications are sent directly to Notification Center without your Apple Watch alerting you.

- Notifications Off: The app sends no notifications.

4. If you customize an app's notifications, you can also group notifications from that app. Tap Notification grouping, then choose an option: Off, Automatically, or By App.

Some apps offer further customization, while others only let you turn off Apple Watch notifications completely. Scroll down to the Mirror iPhone Alerts From section and turn off the setting next to the app.
