Screen Mirroring from iPad or iPhone to AppleTV no longer working

Like many, I assume, I use my iPad to screen mirror a zoom class to my Apple TV. However, I no longer have this capability. The AppleTV no longer shows up as an option when I go to screen mirroring on my iPad or my iPhone. I have updated and restarted all devices and still am unable to screen mirror like I did in the past.

Airplay does not have and Homekit. My iPad shows Airplay and Handoff and there is no request to allow access as part of that path. It is Transfer to HomePod and Handoff. So, I am in same position that my mirroring is no longer available and I would like to know why and/or if I can get it back…short of buying a new Apple tv device

Just in case someone else has this problem, I think I have it working now. First, let me state that I only have one network. However, I went to Settings > AirPlay and HomeKit > Allow Access and changed the setting from “Anyone on the Same Network” to “Everyone” and I was able to screen mirror again. I set Require Password to “On” for security purposes.

Hi ginger_england,

If you're experiencing an issue screen mirroring, please check out this link, which has some information and suggestions that may help with that issue: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device

If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device

Learn what to do if you can't stream content with AirPlay, mirror the screen on your iOS device or Mac to your Apple TV or smart TV, or have another issue using AirPlay.

Try these steps first

After each step, see if you still need help.

1. Make sure that your AirPlay-compatible devices are turned on and near each other.
2. Check that the devices are updated to the latest software and are on the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Restart the devices that you want to use with AirPlay or screen mirroring.

If you're prompted to enter a password, you might have restrictions turned on, or you might need to adjust your AirPlay password settings.

Thanks!
