Home App stops syncing scenes and setups - My workaround so far…

One morning the HOME app on one of our iPads didn’t see any of my devices & scenes anymore (working flawlessly before) - the app was in default state! Happened after installing 2 new Homepod Mini…

I could solve it with the following steps:

1)* erasing and reinstalling the HOME app (*not sure that it was necessary)

2) close the HOME app and switch off HOME app sync in the iCloud’s setting

3) open the HOME app: it‘ll ask you to activate the iCloud sync - reactivate it!

4) Switch back to the HOME app - it should sync again after a moment.

But once I changed / added some (light)scenes with my iPhone I saw the HOME app scenes disappearing „live“ 😳🙈 from my affected iPad again. I repeated the process and could reconnect it…

So, there‘s an issue, but until it‘s solved by APPLE it seems that these simple steps are a workaround…

Hope this helps!

✌🏻🙂👍🏻
