A wireless apple keyboard was paired. Got a message to charge the keyboard. After charging the keyboard, the keyboard does not connect so I can’t type in my password to unlock the computer.

If you have a newer rechargeable Apple keyboard, plug it directly into the Mac mini.
If you have an older wireless Apple keyboard, plug in a USB keyboard (most any Generic or PC keyboard) will work with your Mac mini, so you can log-in and reconnect your wireless keyboard.
