My Apple TV Remote App is not working on my iPhone or iPad.

My AppleTV shows the phone and iPad as paired. When I open the AppleTV Remote in either device in the Home accessories it will not connect. This just happened 2 days ago. Just before downloading the iOS 16.2 for the AppleTV and all Apple devices. I have an AppleTV 4K.

Why are the AppleTV and TV remote apps suddenly not working?

If your Apple TV remote is not working in Control Center on your devices, see Set up the Apple TV Remote on your iPhone or iPad

"If you can't set up the Apple TV Remote

Try these steps. After each step, see if you still need help.

Check that your iPhone or iPad is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi. On your Apple TV, go to Settings > Network.
Make sure that your iPhone or iPad is updated to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, and your Apple TV is updated to the latest version of tvOS.
Restart your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. Also try restarting your iPhone or iPad.
If you still can't set up the Apple TV Remote, contact Apple Support."
