Does Apple still support the Sony DVMC-DA2? I can't seem to get it to be recognized by my iMac or MBP. Trying to convert some analog video/audio files and no current software sees the device.

So other things work in that port?
Does it show in System Report >Hardware under Firewire or USB?
Does it show in System Report >Hardware>Firewire, or maybe System Report >Hardware>Thunderbolt......
So in the bottom pic scrolling down further shows nothing interesting?
I have a Thunderbolt port with a Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter and yes other things work in that port configured both with and without the adapter.
Just shows adapter connected.
I can't remember how my DVMC-DA2 worked... did it need the Camera to be on "Play" to be seen?
Do you not have a DVMC-DA2 at this time?
I should have, but at the bottom of which pile is the problem... so no.
So back to my original question. Does Apple still support the Sony DVMC-DA2?
I don't think it needed any special support, just the built-in Firewire support, which as far as I know still has it.
