Playing Apple TV through an an hdmi adapter

Can’t get Apple TV to play thought my hdmi adapter on my iPhone 14pro

It won't work through the adapter. If you don't have a smart TV that supports airplay or the TV app then you will need to get another device to connect to the TV and access the Apple TV app there.
