Setting up hotmail in mail os 13.1

Have followed all online instructions and still mail does not work. I need very specific instructions on how to set Hotmail as my mail account and have it work. although my email address has Hotmail in name I know it is also outlook.live but cannot figure out what to put in each of the spaces: Incoming user name (whole email address); Password(checked it is correct); Host name (imap-mail.outlook.com?) /outgoing username (same as incoming?); Password; Host name (live.com?).

But when I try to save get message 'unable to verify account name or password". What am I doing wrong?

I use Hotmail with Apple Mail, without any issues. When you go into Mail setting to add a new account, just choose, "Microsoft Exchange" and then fill in the hotmail email address and your password. It will set it up automatically to work just fine. If the checkmark to turn on "Automatically manage connection settings" is not enabled, click that to turn it on. (I've done this several times and have never experienced any issues sending and receiving emails, by using "Microsoft Exchange". And have done it in Ventura 13.1, successfully as well.
