Iphone 14 ios 16.2 True Tone issues

I just purchased an iphone 14 and immediately updated on ios 16.2. I noticed that true tone is not working properly as many others have reported. True tone comes on and off all the time. In mail app i have to lock phone and unlock it in order for true tone to take effect but even then after awhile the yellowish of true tone becomes white again. Is this ios bug or iphone bug? On all my previous iphones, true tone use to work all the time.

Any solutions?

Same.. I purchased an iphone 14 Pro Max yesterday and immediately updated on ios 16.2 too. Coming out of standby, my 14 Pro Max takes about 10-15 seconds to respond to ambient light to change the white point.

The phone wakes up with a extremally yellow white point and takes 10-15 seconds or more for True Tone to cool to an appropriate white point.

On my previous phone (14Pro iOS 16.1.2), this happened so quickly I never noticed it. Unfortunately on my new 14 Pro Max it means I am greeted with a yellow display every time I unlock the phone and it does not look good.
