office 2011 apps will never work as they are only 32bit and ms don't support them anymore to release them in 64bit versions

your options are

  1. get a newer office suit from ms that is 64bit
  2. use apples free office apps pages, numbers ...
  3. use LibreOffice which is a free office suit which attempts to look and feel a bit more like office

I'm not sure if ms renting office called office365 support catalina think ms officially only support 2 macOS versions back
