Hi,

You should get self powered external CD/DVD drive. If you got bus powered CD/DVD drive already, it could connect through self powered USB Hub.

using disc drive with macbook pro I have a MacBook Pro and an external disc drive that I would like to plug in and use. The disc drive (an apple product) has a USB connector from the drive itself that would normally be plugged into the laptop or Mac Mini. How can I adapt the plug so that I can connect it to my MacBook Pro?
