No Sim card

We have an Iphone 8+

Message says no sim

any ideas

Do you have a SIM card installed in your iPhone 8 Plus? If not, then that is the reason you are getting the error. If you have a SIM card installed in your iPhone, then remove the SIM card from the SIM card tray and re-install/re-seat it again in the SIM card tray and restart the iPhone. See whether that resolves the error.

If none of the above works then I recommend that you contact your carrier and get another SIM card in the event that the current SIM card is damaged or defective.
