I have an iMac 27" late 2013, can I install Ventura on it? TurboTax says it will not run om my Catalina 10.15.7

I have an iMac 27-inch Late 2013 model running macOS Catalina 10.15.7. Can I update the operating system to something that TurboTax 2022 will run on?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Your iMac cannot be upgraded beyond Catalina. I had a quick look at the Turbotax website to see what the requirements are for their software and could find this nowhere. Something of an oversight. It's not on my local Mac App store either (Australia) so I can't see that information.

Regardless, if that is the message you get then your Mac will not support the software.

...or hire a tax accountant to do it! I'm a bear of little brain when it comes to this so for years I've gone to a local agent to complete my returns.

As I said above, I'm in Australia where a tax return by an accountant is a deductible expense claim and as far as I have observed the common practice here. Lots of Americans however seem to do it themselves - provided their Mac is up to the software (!) - but I guess the comments I see in this forum might not be representative.
