There is no means for that.
Not without access to the Apple ID and with a paired device, or with directly-demanded access into the child's device.
A paired device will be visible and associated with the Apple ID, and will be quite obvious when two-factor is enabled, or with the recently-announced security features intended to detect and report similar monitoring.
The usual outcome of these requests being the child's more sensitive communications will relocate into channels either not known by or not reachable by you. Many such channels exist, too.
