Apple Music not syncing across devices

I do not have a MacBook as we only use our IPads and IPhones with cloud. My music will not sync on my IPad. I have checked that I am logged into the same account across devices and have turned on sync across devices and still no music. I am getting pretty frustrated with apple at this point. I loved apple because things just worked. Now, not so much. How do I get the music I have paid for and now have to pay a monthly fee to listen to my music on the rest of my devices?

Yes I did all that and some songs from albums I purchased are greyed out, actually all but a two or three. ALL of my music is on my phone.

HDBiker66,

Thanks for confirming that. What does it say when you tap on the greyed out song? Are you connected to Wi-Fi on your iPad when this occurs? If so, does this happen on all Wi-Fi connections you attempt to use?

Any further details you can provide will be very helpful. If you have Low Power Mode enabled, be sure that's turned off also, as this disabled many features.

Lastly, the information in the following resource may be of help: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library

We look forward to hearing what you find out.

Thanks!

Hello HDBiker66,

You said you'd checked sync, which we presume is the setting described at Use Sync Library to access your music library across your devices - Apple Support?

  1. Make sure that your iPhone or iPad is signed in with the same Apple ID that you use with your Apple Music subscription.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Music.
  4. Turn on Sync Library.

Now, were the songs visible at all? Are they there and greyed out or missing entirely? Also, is your music all purchased, or is some ripped from disc or downloaded through Apple Music as well?

Cheers!

Hello HDBiker66,

Did you purchase this content using the same Apple ID that you have with Apple Music, or another account? If these were purchased using another account, then it may be prompting you to verify the purchase in order to download it using a computer.

If it was purchased using the same Apple ID that you use with Apple Music, then it would be best to contact Apple directly: Official - Apple Support

They'll need to take it from here.

Wishing you well, take care.
