my phone fell it got scratched on the sides and the camera is there something that can be done

If it's just a visual thing, or you don't want to pay for a repair, then you might have to live with it.

Then you should probably consider investing in a protective case for your iPhone (a cover which may very well cover up the scratch too right?)

If it were me, I'd take an assortment of pictures and see if the photos show any blemishes due to the scratch on the lens. If so, I'd likely look at getting it repaired. If not, I'd just slap a case on it.

AppleCare does not cover "cosmetic" flaws or damage to your phone, so not much that you can do other than ask about the possibility of replacing parts, or even the phone. Sounds really expensive either way.

Buy a new one.
