Unable to pair apple watch series 7 with iphone 7 plus 15.7.2 version

Though Apple claims apple watch series 7 compatible with IOS 15 version , it is not working with my recent watch. My phone model is iphone 7 plus with IOS 15.7.2 version. When trying to pair , it displays message iphone 8 or IOS 16 version. Is there any other option ?

To use your Apple Watch with watchOS 9, you need to pair your watch with an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16 or later.
