com.apple.quicklook.ThumbnailsAgent not working

The image icons in Finder>Pictures have all switched to generic icons. I checked Finder>View> to check view options but that was set correctly; then tried Activity Monitor to use com.apple.quicklook.ThumbnailsAgent to fix it, but that didn't work. But, when I relaunch in safe mode the icons show up correctly; back in regular launch, same problem.

That would tend to implicate some third-party system modification is interfering with you Mac. I don’t know what it might be.

EtreCheck can show you what you have installed, but it can’t necessarily identify a cause of your problem. You can post the report here using the Additional Text area in a reply. There is a Share Report button with a Copy Report option to easily paste it here. It is free to use. There is a paid version, but it’s features aren’t necessary.
