can I transfer from old iMac to new iMac with a usb cord? and is it faster than going wireless?
Yea, connect your Time Machine backup External Hard Disk to the new Mac and run Migration Assistant which is pre installed on the new Mac. Never ever use Wi-Fi to migrate, it fails about 100% of the time. If you need further help please call AppleCare!!!
if you do not have a Time Machine backup of the old Mac create one ASAP.
