iOS 16.2 upgrade prevents access to App Store

I upgraded my iPhone 11 to iOS 16.2 and my iPadAir 5 to iPadOS 16.2 yesterday.


Ever since, I have been unable to access the App Store either to check for any app updates or search for new apps. The icons for apps on the App Store app home page are all blank.


Is anyone else having these issues?

Does this occur after restarting both devices? This is a simple step that can often resolve issues like yours.

  1. Check the system status page: Apple - Support - System Status
  2. Make sure that your device is connected to the internet.
  3. Check the date and time on both devices. Settings > General > Date & Time.
