Rearrangement Problem

When I am trying to rearrange and move icons from one page of a home screen to another, the animation flicks, re-enters the original page for a several times or even sometimes the application moves to another page without it. Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

Icons overlapping in Home screen On the second page of my home scree, the icon on the top right shows a translucent Minus sign. If I try to drag it, I can see that it appears to be 2 different app icons overlapping. If I move the top one, the next icon in line will jump to take its place on top of the other app. I have no way of just removing the bottom app (which seems to be a 2nd camera icon - the 1st one is on the first page of my home screen) The issue appears to be just with that very spot on the second page. Is this expected? I don't remember the feature being there before... I noticed the little minus sign only a few days ago, but thought it was just a glitch that would go away just as it popped up.. Cannot move icons from one page to another on iPad. Cannot move icons from one page to another on iPad. This problem started yesterday. It started after I added a widget to my Home Screen. I deleted the recently added widget, but I still have the problem of being unable to move app icons from one page to another on iPad. The problem was first noted here in the forum in 2018. The fix provided in that string of discussion, which was to attempt the moves while in portrait position, does not work. Using iPad Pro 4th generation with iPadOS 16.6.

iOS Home Page icon Placement When I try to place Home Screen icons on my iOS devices the screen goes nuts and moves all of the icons in a way that makes it impossible to place things where I want them to be. Icons swirl around and end up in nonsense places or pop to the next screen so I have to chase after them and bring them back to the screen I was working on. Is there a method to move ONLY the icon that I want to move without the wacky screen dance happening every time? Thanks, Pete D.
