Do I need to cancel iCloud+ if I start using a Family Sharing Plan?

I upgraded to iCloud+ this morning and then switched to a Family Sharing Plan that another family member had already purchased a few hours later. Do I need to cancel the iCloud+ upgrade or will Apple recognize I no longer use it and not charge me again? Ideally, I'd like the purchase pre-authorization to my credit card to stop and pay nothing at all since I didn't even use the upgraded space. Is there anything else I need to do?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 16

If the organizer is sharing iCloud+ space, click here and see the "Switch from your personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan" section. Otherwise, you'll need to stay on your own plan.
