Updating an iPhone 6 Plus Past to iOS 12:
You can't. The iPhone will only install to iOS12. See here: Update your iPhone or iPad Software if you're Experiencing Issues with Location, Date, and Time - Apple Support. And, for the note, even if you could update, only the latest version will install: iOS 16.

Your profile states that you have an iPhone 6 with iOS 12 installed. That is the highest (iOS 12) that you can update your iPhone 6. You will need a newer model iPhone to update to higher versions (iOS 15/16).

This is not possible. Your phone likely already has been updated as far as it can go.
Tap Settings > Tap General > Tap About
If the iOS Version is 12.5.6, that is far as your iPhone can go
