Apple ID - Mac won't login

Hi

I am trying to login using my Apple ID to my Macbook Pro (Ventura 13.0.1) but it keeps just returning me to the login screen once the Apple ID & Password are entered.

I have tried with 2 different Apple IDs and the same issue occurs, I can login to both of these account else where (Developer, appleid, on my phone) with no problem.

When I tried my new account - I got email notifications acknowledging my login attempts on a new device, but the device still brought my back to try and login again.

Any idea how to resolve this?
