I have a green hue on on the right of my brand new series 8 screen when my sleep mode comes on and it definitely doesn’t seem normal.

Were you able to find a fix for it or understand what was going on?
iPhone 8 was discontinued by Apple 2 years ago, not sure where you got a brand new one from.
If your screen is turning green, most likely it is a hardware failure.

I guess you are talking about Apple Watch 8 not iPhone 8!
Any color hue or colored lines are usually hardware failure
