"This device cannot be transferred" when trying to download music on apple music
Hi.
For whatever reason, when I woke up yesterday morning my apple music was logged out of my account and logged into my dad's. I never signed into his account. I have no idea why it did this.
This has happened before. The last time this happened a month or two ago, I just completely signed out of his account(no idea why it was signed in in the first place), signed back into mine, and I was able to go and redownload my playlists. It was tedious, there's a lot of them, but it's fine.
I woke up yesterday morning and the same thing happened. I was frustrated at first but went to go do the same thing I did before, but this time when I signed back out of his account(which again, I never signed into??) and back into my own apple ID, it had this message pop up:
"This device cannot be transferred.
This device must be linked to your apple ID to play content saved offline. This device is already linked and cannot be transferred for 90 days."
I did nothing. I signed out of nothing, signed into nothing; no idea why a) this keeps happening; logging me out of my Apple ID without me doing anything, and b) why it is now causing this to happen.
But now, it wont let me download my music for 89 days. I like the interface of apple music a lot more than Spotify's, but I'm this close to cancelling my apple music subscription and just moving over to Spotify completely. This is so frustrating and every single "help" page or video i've spent the last hour looking at is outdated and/or completely unhelpful, things have been moved or removed and now I can't find anything that will fix this.
And in my blind frustration I logged out of my apple ID on my phone hoping it would fix it and I'm pretty sure I made things worse.
There's no way I'm waiting 89 days to download music?? What do I do?
