Unable to enter special characters #@$% on Ipad when using sidecar and external keyboard (magic keyboard)

Hi,

I have connected to Ipad from Mac using sidecar, and I use my mac keyboard and mouse. All is working, besides the special characters. When I hold shift and press 2, I expect to have @, but it still enters 2 on Ipad. When I move mouse to my Mac, it works as expected on computer. Only problem is on Mac.

What to do?

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities vincentspd,

The following steps can resolve issues you might have entering special characters on iPad:

If you have difficulty using an external keyboard, you can adjust the settings.
Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Keyboards, then tap any of the following:

• Key Repeat: You can adjust the repeat interval and delay.
• Sticky Keys: Use Sticky Keys to press and hold modifier keys, such as Command and Option, as you press another key.
• Slow Keys: Use Slow Keys to adjust the time between when a key is pressed and when it’s activated.

Adjust the onscreen and external keyboard settings on iPad

We hope this helps!
