Screen debacle

What is wrong with my screen when it doesn’t let me type certain letters or allow me to swipe out of apps?

iOS 16.4.1 Touchscreen won’t allow proper selection. Apple please fix TOUCHSCREEN which delays between letters when typing causing missing letters and typos to occur. Touchscreen in iOS 16.4.1, is very iffy-won’t allow proper selection- has delays when typing words do that spaces show instead of letters, for example. Also, you may type a word but a letter pauses, so you type the letter again, then you see duplicate letters. Apple, PLEASE FIX.
