My grandson used my mac, now Safari is changed. The area on top of safari home page, where you key in a topic or website is gone. How can I get it back?

That's easy enough. Click Safari's View menu > Customize Toolbar...


A dropdown selection of icons (what it calls "favorite items") will appear. The bottom shows the default Toolbar set. Drag it up to where it used to be.
