There is a quiet notification sound of Health app on my iphone for medication reminder

I was using the Health app for 16 days and have configured it to remind me medication doses twice a day. I have noticed the notification only two times since I have installed the app. The notification sound so quiet and it is hard to notice it. I tried to find the way to change sound to much more loud and noticeable and didn’t get success. So now I have to remember to take a dose of medication and remember to track and fill taken doses in the Health app. Have to say I have a good hearing. So the app became a one more additional duty instead of being the assistant. I like this app and ask you to add some options to configure the app notification sound. It will be also much more convenient to get Health notifications on my iPad where I spend all the time while I’m indoor. The Health app on iPhone only is useless for those people who work or spend all the time with iPad or Mac and misses the important time of taking medications.

This is a critical notification, so it should be the most noticeble - even "disturbing. It should pop in all devices - Mac, iPad, etc. and its sound should be higher and maybe unique.

I have experienced exactly the same issues. I have to take ten different medications throughout the day on very specific times. I found reminders app very useful with the scheduled reminders - unlike health app, you can set your own alter sound, and if you set the reminders’ priority to urgent they will always be displayed on the lock screen. Unfortunately with this setting you still have to go to health app to check off your medicine. hopefully someone from apple could add more settings to health app.

Completely agree. I have multiple medications to take, some with good, some on an empty stomach, some 8 hours apart, others 12 hours apart, etc. it’s become very complicated and my wife has spent days trying to use my new iPhone 14 with the 16.3 version of apples operating system to help us manage this part of our lives. This phone and its applications have been nothing but a disappointing waste of way too much money and time. We’re exasperated and despondent!

I also found the notification sound for medications in the Health app to be uselessly quiet after setting it up. I switched to set up my medication notifications using the Reminders app instead, which has louder notification options. It is a better this way if you don't need to log your individual medications and just want daily reminders that you can complete for "morning medication", "afternoon medication", etc. It is also available on iPad and Mac.

Would suggest looking into health/medication reminder apps most are subscription based but there are ones which are free but be aware that if your medications have more then 3 digit mg, have multiple medications in one pill with each having a different mg amount or have a non mg unit medication you mostly find that with herbals and vitamins that it will be more difficult to find an app that does that but hopefully it will be easier for you because I also wanted refill reminders by prescription date and a symptom tracker if I was going to pay for it! A google search is your best bet of finding the app you need but know that health app, medical app, medication reminder/tracker app, pharmacy app, pill sorter app or symptom tracker app will pop up different apps in a google search but most have major overlap in functions so I would try them all starting with the one that best describes your main reason for wanting the app. Hope this helps!🥰

Just chiming in in the hope that apple will fix this. Seems so easy - just had the medication notification to the list of notifications you can adjust the sound of. It would make this app 1000x more useful. I’m tracking post-surgery meds, which means sometimes I have to adjust pain med timing, and wish I could rely on the medication app alarm to tell me when to take those meds rather than then having to go adjust my other, audible alarm. Unrelated, but I also wish there was a way to simply set a medication to “every 4 hrs” or “every 8hrs” rather than having to manually do the math for each time and add each individual dose. All said… having this all to track my many overlapping cycles of meds has been very helpful.
