In Settings: Wallpaper can the file name be displayed? (Mac OS Ventura 13.0.1)

Is there a method for the file being used as the wallpaper to be displayed?

I have a folder with greater than 1500 pictures that I use to randomly display as Wallpaper. I would like to know what file is being displayed so I can maybe find it easier.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there bdsteele,

When you select a photo album as the desktop picture on your Mac, you choose it from the albums in the Photos app.

Add Folder/Add Photo Album: Controls to choose your own photos from a folder or photo album. To add a folder, click Add Folder, then select a folder. To add a photo album, click Add Photo Album, then select Albums (all albums) or an individual album.

With that said, you can adjust the name of the photo/file in the Photos app. Learn how here: Add titles, captions, and more to photos using Photos on Mac - Apple Support

Take care.
