I like to make Apple Maps the default , I don't want google maps as my default

Apple Maps as default instead of google maps, how to do that

Yes a have Gmail and I checked into the settings and this is what I got.!! So I don’t know what to say… That’s ok , thanks very much for your time..!! Maybe if I reset my IPhone 12 Pro to manufactory settings it may give me a choice to use as default Maps and not Google Maps!!!!

There is no direct method available to set a default app to get directions (Maps vs Google Maps etc.) while using Safari.

You may start by deleting the Google Maps and then opening Safari and force it to use Apple Maps. After that, you can download and install the Google Maps app again and see whether Safari retains the Apple Maps choice.

Do you by any chance use the GMAIL app? If YES, then open the GMAIL app and then go into Settings in that app. Then choose Default apps and select Apple Maps as the default Maps app.

If you do not use the GMAIL app, then I am stumped as to what exactly is directing the Google Maps app to be the default on your iPhone.

if I’m in Safari looking for Restaurant that I want to go to, and I click on direction automatically goes to Google Maps.

Hi, I just did That!!!! But it won’t work. With out Google Maps Safari wouldn’t take me to any direction or location because Google Maps is not properly installed, That’s the message I get….
