'Recently Added' on iPhone and Mac not working with the Music app

Hi,

I've switched from PC to Mac from iTunes to the Music app and it's very frustrating. I sort all my music by 'Date Modified' which simply means the latest song that was added to my music folder shows at the top, followed by the next one and so on. And this works perfectly with iTunes. Now the same folder when dragged and dropped to the Music app on my MacBook shows up fine on screen as I have selected the 'Date Modified' parameter.

But when I now sync the whole Music folder, it shows up on my iPhone all mixed up! By the way, my files in the iPhone Music app are always sorted as 'Recently Added'. But clearly, the list indicates that these music files are NOT 'Recently Added'. It's just an abomination of a random combination. Please can anyone help me on how I can fix this. Or is there a way?? I've even tried adding music files individually but it still seems to decide how it wants to sort it.
