What is the most optimal OS for MacBook Pro M1 Max and iMac M1? I have a MacBook Pro M1 Max (2021) and an iMac M1 (2021). Everything is still running fast and smoothly on them. I have avoided upgrading the last few OS updates. I didn't want to upgrade and have them start lagging or not running optimally. The last update I did was for Ventura 13.6.9. Your intel MacBook Pro 2019 model can run anything including the most current, MacOS 13 Ventura.

what is "best" depends on what work you perform and what software you are running now, and whether you are willing to upgrade any paid software packages that do not include auto-upgrades for free.
