Missed Call Notification - Red Dot Irritant

Hi there, I have a red dot (the missed call notification) on my phone without a number in it. Below is a pic. I've checked my missed calls, shut down and re-started my phone a couple of times and also updated the software to the latest version but nothing seems to rectify it.

Any suggestions on what else I could do?
