Where is the serial number on the MacBook Pro

Use the Apple Menu > About this Mac

Find your Mac model name and serial number - Apple Support

It is also in microscopic print on the hinge side, bottom of the older MacBook Pro models, and on the M1 MacBook Pros it is on the bottom front of the Mac. I suggest a bright led light to facilitate seeing that serial number.
